In 2012 Alex Guedea became an organ donor as the result of a traumatic brain injury resulting in his unexpected death. During his life here, Alex found joy in helping others so it was fitting that his last random act of kindness was the gift of his heart, kidneys and liver. In 2012 Alex Guedea became an organ donor as the result of a traumatic brain injury resulting in his unexpected death. During his life here, Alex found joy in helping others so it was fitting that his last random act of kindness was the gift of his heart, kidneys and liver. Through our journey we learned about organizations that assist in finding donors for necessary recipients but it was discovered that more could be done to assist those in need of and awaiting transplant.
Alex's Way was established to do just that. Our goal is to remove barriers and assist families going through the process of having a family member in need of an organ transplant.

Our overall mission is to remove the barriers that those in need of transplant face on their journey. Helping individuals and families get to transplant is our ultimate goal.
